The survey of fire fighting situation in Wagatoku, Burkina Faso
These photographs are part of a trip to a local firefighting situation survey before the basic design (B / D) of a government development assistance project (ODA project).
The main firefighting vehicle used was made by CAMIVA, a firefighting manufacturer in France. At that time, this fire department also used the same parts removed from other vehicles as a substitute if some of the vehicles were broken.
This method was the same for other fire departments. Under these circumstances, only a few vehicles could eventually be used.
In short, spare parts (supply parts) were not enough. When a vehicle was provided from Europe, the fire department chief claimed that spare parts were not provided enough with the vehicle.
When traveling or traveling to Africa, some countries require you to vaccinate against cholera or yellow fever.
